VMAs

To distract myself from the crappy day I'm having, I thought I'd post my thoughts on this year's MTV VMAs.

I was going to start with Lady Gaga's meat dress.  Really?  A meat dress?  And shoes?  And hat?  And bag? *barf*  I can't even bear to post a picture it was so nasty.  She must have smelled awesome afterward.

Moving on...

I *heart* you Eminem.  Like a lot.  And his performance kicked arse!

The rest of the show was pretty boring I thought, with the exception of Florence + The Machine (whom I love).  Her song Dog Days Are Over was awe-some (said in the voice of Rhino the gerbil in Bolt)!

Other than that it was a little "eh".  A few other observances...

• I'm sorry Taylor Swift.  You're such a sweetie, but your voice is very, um...not great live.
• Kanye - sorry, he's just an a-hole and his performance didn't rock my world.
• Hayley Williams and B.O.B. - not bad.  I adore Paramore, but I didn't love Hayley's outfit (thigh high boots with mid thigh shorts = chunky leg syndrome (even on someone as teenie as Hayley, who's so super cute).
