So last night I went to my friend Kate's house to reconnect with about 15 women I've known for a few years. We have a Bunco group (we rarely play it though!) that has sort of fallen the cliff lately. So Kate took it upon herself to get us all together and I'm so very glad she did.
The weather was perfect last night, and as we all mingled in Kate's (amazing) kitchen and (outrageously beautiful) outdoor living space I was reminded of how important girlfriends are in a woman's life. There we were, sitting around a fire enjoying our mojitos, sharing stories of our lives in the recent months, when I was overwhelmed by a feeling of gratitude for these women.
I'm pretty lucky. I hope you are too.
