Must. Finish. Bid.

I'm up against a big deadline, yet shockingly (or not so shocking for anyone who knows me) I continue to put it off. I have the bones of my proposal ready, it's just the populating it that's making me do things tonight I haven't done in ages (dusting the ceiling fans, blogging (sorry about that), organizing my closet, etc.). This is classic Jen. This behavior dates back to high school and has followed me into adulthood. And trust me, the proposal will go out, on time. I may not go to bed tonight, but it will get done. And in all fairness, I only had a few days to pull it together, plus I've been insanely busy this week (work and personally) so it's not as though it's been sitting in my office for a month and a half.

So off I go, back to this proposal! Wish me luck!

Ooo! America's Next Top Model is on! Woo hoo!

UPDATE: 4 hours of solid work later and I'm going to call it a night. I probably have about 4 hours of work on this tomorrow, but I'm proud of my focus tonight! I think anything I do to this proposal after midnight is just going to be random and probably wacky. I'll end up typing something I've heard on TV (I do that sometimes in my personal correspondence. Such as:

"Dear _____,
How are things? Good I hope! Everything is good here, except there's no spark in your design. We felt your choice of color was questionable and you didn't impress us. I'm sorry, but you're out. "

I don't think I need to run that risk in my bid. I do that when I'm talking on the phone sometimes too.

Random note: I watch CNN pretty religiously. I like their coverage and feel they're pretty fair in their reporting. BUT when I watch Anderson Cooper Live at 10pm and then I watch the same exact show at 1am, they should take the "live" thing off the screen in the corner. Because I have a pretty good feeling it's no longer live. Either that or Anderson and his guests are awesome at mimicking what they did 2 hours prior. And yes, I know, watching the news nowadays at 1am isn't the best way to fall asleep. I watch it pretty actively at 10pm, it just happens to be on at 1am (after I've watched my DVR'd episode of Project Runway, Top Design, 90210, ANTM, etc.). I lead a pretty active, exciting evening life. Seriously though, I could watch those shows a million times (and do) - over and over again!
