heirlooms...

Madeline recently made her First Communion, and one of the gifts she received made me smile, and makes me smile every time I think about it.  My Aunt Bev (my dad's sister), received a Cinderella watch when she made her First Communion.  She wanted to present Madeline with a similar gift, so she gave her our grandmother's watch.  It's so tiny and delicate and fits Madeline perfectly (apparently my grandmother had the wrist of a 9 year old...).  I love that Maddy will have this family heirloom to connect her with the great grandmother she was never able to meet.

So sweet.
