Ok, ok. I know I promised more a more enlightening post today, and I'm not sure sure this makes the cut but it's something that's been on my mind. You'd think I'd have more pressing things on my mind...Apparently I'm just that vapid.
I think Taylor Swift, for all of her cuteness, is in fact a mean girl.
Now this has nothing to do with the fact that I'm in love with her ex-boyfriend, Harry Styles.
*drifts off into dreamland...Harry!!!*
It has to do with the fact that she seems to be unable to move on from failed relationships (and let's be real, our 20s are spent failing at relationships left and right). All men who date Taylor Swift must apparently pay. Via public humiliation in a song so thinly veiled that it might as well be cloaked in Saran Wrap. Now, I'm all for sitting with my girlfriends and rehashing (and maybe bashing a little, we're only human) a relationship and an ex. But from a girl who wrote a song called Mean where she chastises bullies, her movement to ridicule every ex feels hypocritical.
Couple that with the fact that she feels the need to coyly call these men out when accepting an award for her epic ex-slamming just makes me feel icky.
Time to grow up Taylor. Play nice.
