Here we go..

So after a year of planning and shopping and thinking and pondering, the house renovations are underway.  Here's whatsa happenin':

Living room and dining room
New dark, wide plank wood floors
Trim painted

Hallways
Painted

Kid's Bedroom's
Painted (Maddy a very light Robin's Egg Blue and Jack will have white walls with one wall of charcoal chalkboard paint)
New carpet (Maddy will have a cream carpet and Jack will have a charcoal grey)
New bedding

Kitchen
New countertops (Corian Cocoa Brown)
Subway tile and glass tile backsplash

Family Room
New custom bookshelves (being built and installed this week)
New carpet (a sort of mushroom-y color)

Guys I am SO freakin' excited I can't even tell you.  I feel like I've been choosing the colors and materials forever, so it was nice to finally pull the trigger and get the ball rolling.  As of now here's the plan:

Living Room/Dining Room Floors installed this Friday or next Tuesday (depending upon material delivery)
Carpenter will start building bookshelves tomorrow, with plan to have them painted and installed by this weekend, early next week.
Painting to take place this week and next weekend
Carpet install a week from Friday
Countertops installed in 3 weeks

I've been taking before pictures, so as each element is finished I'll update with a before and after post.
