Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday

On this day, two of my favorite people on earth were born.  My dad, and my Maddy girl.

Eight years ago today my dad was given the best gift ever, the birth of his first grandchild.  And we were given this amazing child.

We miss my dad every day.  Every. Single. Day.  But we have our Maddy girl to remind us of what my dad loved.  What made him smile.

Today is bittersweet.  But it's still very, very sweet.
