Is that the school bell I hear?

First day of school. It feels like such a fresh start. It might just be my favorite time of the year! Of course, I'm not actually IN school, but still. I don't know if it was my favorite time when I was in school, but I do know I loved the prep (new clothes, new school supplies, cooler weather and my favorite month). Maddy woke up bright and early, great mood and ready to go!
Jack headed to school this afternoon. He seemed fine when I left for Sherri to take him, we'll see what she reports when I talk to her later. I guess he had a bad night last night thinking about school. The only thing he was worried about today were his kicks. For some reason he hates his new K-Swiss. I think they're a little bit rad! :)
Anyway, I decided not to get political on this post, so I'll leave out my feelings on the bullshit controversy about our President talking to our children about education and responsibility. I just watched it, thought it was fantastic. I'll let this be a back to school post and leave it at that.

Have a great day with your kiddos as they get home from school and fill you in on all the details of their great (hopefully) day! I can't wait to see these 2 turkeys!

P.S. I think Meg and Emma are headed here this month, with my brother to follow in October! They head to Germany for 4 years in February so I'm REALLY looking forward to this visit! EEEEEE!

Nate and I were at the bus stop to get jman after school and he wanted me to hold him. One dad was out because his wife hurt her back. So there I am, holding nate and talking to another kindergarteners dad == What are THESE (jab jab jab) into my breast. I say "Nate, Stop it" and totally play it off. Then her grabs on to my brastrap and says IS THESE BRAS???

Oooohhhh. At that point I would have set Nate down and simply walked away...
