I woke up this morning (actually, fell asleep last night since Brady was nice enough to text me the awesome news last night) to snow. *ack* I am NOT a fan in any way, shape or form of the white stuff. Sure, I love to fall asleep on Christmas Eve to snow gently falling down, and a snowy day on Christmas. And....that's about it. So yeah, not thrilled about that development. I seem to forget that I live in the Northeast. November...yeah, it snows up here. I was expecting the 60 degree weather we've been having the past few weeks to last all fall/winter long.
Jack had an AWESOME day yesterday. He is truly the most gracious 3 year old I know. During the gift portion of the event, he looked for the person who gave him the gift and said "thank you for my present!". Then when everyone left he hugged and kissed them each, thanking them again for his present. But the BEST memory I have is this (and excuse what might seem like cruelty on my part, I was just teasing):
Me: Jack, I didn't get you a birthday present...
Jack: Why Nenna? (disappointed look on his face...I know, I'm horrible)
Me: Well, I don't know.
Jack: ...That's all right Nenna.
*heart melting* I mean seriously? Of course I DID have a gift for him, a totally awesome one - the motorized tractor he wanted SO badly (of course it was raining yesterday so he couldn't ride it). But the point is he didn't care! He really is the sweetest thing on earth.
Miss Madeline has her first night of Brownies tonight!!! I quit Brownies pretty quickly after I joined (maybe I wouldn't have teased Jack had I stayed and become a full fledged Girl Scout...I obviously didn't earn my "Be nice to children" badge). I can't wait until her little uniform arrives! God she's getting so big!
Miss Emma and Meg will be here next week (or hopefully this week). I cannot WAIT to see that little tink. She's the most petite child I've ever seen. So delicate and teeny. Love it!
Have a wonderful week cute friends, and I'll update you soon! xoxo
