Latest Project

So I spent much of this weekend working on this little project celebrating what's come of fall thus far. Ive been into mini books lately. Once you know what you want to do, collect all of your materials, print your pics, get the pages set, etc. it's pretty easy (doesn't sound so easy now that I type all that, but it really is). It's not totally complete. I still have some bits and pieces to add, some journaling to complete and Halloween to put in there, but its 90% complete.

It truly is fall now. I had to bust out the winter jacket and I have to still search for my gloves, hats, etc. Ugh. Nothing like Halloween in a snowsuit (how many of us here in WNY celebrated that childhood holiday...costume obscured by mounds of clothing to keep warm in the arctic temps we enjoy here). I cannot WAIT to show you what Mad and Jack are going to be for Halloween. Too, too cute! I'm not sure what Em is going to be. I haven't received any hints from Meg yet.

So, as is de riguer in the Smith Family, we put together Christmas lists. So this is when I sit around and think of all the things I'd like if I didn't have to buy them myself. Like that idiotic printer, which I think I want really badly, but then I'm like, "eh...I have 2 printers", and that Vera Wang bedding I've been hoping will just magically find its way to my bed for the last year. But then there are things I wouldn't put on my list because they're super expensive and that's rude. But that doesn't mean I can't put it on my imaginary wish list! :) I've been looking for a diamond cross for quite some time, something in white gold, not garish. Something delicate. Of course its nearly impossible to find, except at someplace like Tiffany & Co. This beauty is $2K+. Nice. The perfect "here you go Jen, for no reason at all" gift. If you do see one like this, let me know.

I'm getting super excited about the election. I just cannot wait to get out there and vote, watch the election coverage, and then jump up and down when my guy wins (he's better win)! Speaking of the election, I saw a snippet of Elisabeth Hasselback speaking at a Palin rally. Oh. My. God. She is so fucking annoying. Seriously. Trust me, its not because she's a McCain supporter. I don't think McCain is evil. I don't hate McCain supporters. But she is SO defensive, SO hyper, so irritating... I just want her to lie down and go away. Ugh.
