Toronto

Went to Toronto yesterday on business. Really successful trip - my client is so awesome. Got lost on the way home - apparently the QEW splits around Hamilton and Mapquest decided to not fill me in on that little tidbit. So....45 miles out of my way later, I realized nothing looked familiar and my sister vectored me in. Thanks Sher! But on the way home I was treated to an AMAZING lightning storm that was just stunning. No rain, no thunder. Just purple and white and blue lightning. It was right in front of me, happening behind these huge pillowy clouds at dusk. I wish I could have grabbed my camera, taken the lens cap off, adjusted the setting and snapped away...but no. I thought it was best to get home alive. So sorry.

On another note, please send prayers out to my friend Brady's BFF Leann. Her father was diagnosed with brain cancer last summer, and he's awaiting important MRI results. I truly believe in the power of prayer, so just take a little second and say one for her family. It would mean a lot to a lot of people.

Speaking of blogs, Brady has a new one. I'm going to post the link here, but you need to be accepted as a reader (LONG story - but a good idea on Brady's part).
It's like party central around here this weekend. Abby's 3 year old shin dig today, a surprise party for Igor (that's what I'm calling Gary from now on...he was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and his real name is Igor...so Iggy it is!) tomorrow. Okay, maybe 2 parties isn't party central. Cut me some slack, its not like I'm 18 years old partying hard.
Enjoy your weekend. I'll have some goodies to post this weekend...the results of my first digital hybrid scrapbook! WOo HoO!
Much love!
