Monday Randomness

Well, its Monday and that can only mean one thing. I just wish I knew what that one thing was. I've been trying to read "The Power of Now" by Ekhart Tolle. I've discovered I'm far too stupid to read this book. I've been "reading" it for weeks now and I'm still not past page 7. It's now been relegated back to the bookshelf for a time when I'm smarter. The whole, "being", "being behind the ego", "Being" (with a capital B)...I just don't get it. If that's what living in Now is, I guess I'll live in tomorrow, or yesterday. Anywhere but Now.

These are my super cute kicks I got for my birthday from my sister. LOVE them and can't wait to wear them. They're really jeans sneakers to me, and as its been as hot as a MoFo, I may have to wait until Fall. But I still lurve them.

And this is a folder I got from Target. I'm THE biggest sucker for new school supplies - this whole hedgehog, mushroom thing just got me. I used to love going school shopping, having all of my new supplies and clothes laid out before me, just waiting to wear them, write in them, etc.
Project Runway is back and it did NOT disappoint. It's my super favorite show, I could watch the same episode hundreds of times. My current favorites are Emily and Kenley.

And for those of you know how much I love corn, here are some corn facts from my friends at Real Simple Magazine (note: I've been trying to whittle down my stack of 20 magazines on my nightstand. I currently subscribe to 22 and buy another 8 or so a month - an addiction I've had since I was about12):

  • Each ear has about 600 kernels, arranged in bands of 14 to 16.
  • One bushel of corn contains a total of about 90,000 kernels.
  • There is one strand of silk for each kernel. (That one surprised me!)

Let's see...what else? I saw Mamma Mia this weekend. It was cute! And the ABBA music kept me tapping my foot all night. I've been listening to some old Jason Mraz (old as in last summer), Mr. A-Z is the CD and its one of my all time favorites, but the Mamma Mia has been a fun change of pace in my car.

Til later this week...love you all!

I was the exact same when it came to school shopping. I Loved it, any of my friends will tell you I was the biggest dork in town when it was that time of year, lol.
