I love Daniel Day Lewis. I'm watching Gangs of New York right now (its umm... preparation for my proposal) and he's so freaky and good as Bill the Butcher. I loved him in My Left Foot and The Ballad of Jack and Rose too. Just love him. No one will watch movies like this with me. My dad would, but...well, you know.
This movie, while historic in nature, is pretty grisley and violent, so I can understand the aversion. But my dad always watched stuff like this. I think that's why I love historic movies so much. Documentaries too. History Channel is a favorite of mine. I even like to have the History Channel on as background noise.
